La Bodega
La Bodega, as this unique building built in 1911 is known, became an emblematic place throughout the 20th century, a benchmark in the region as a grocery store for its high-quality products and, mainly, for the variety of cheeses that it offered, among which the Queso de Flor stood out, considered the gastronomic jewel of the Canary Islands. Due to its privileged location, at the entrance to the city, it also became a mandatory stop and tourist attraction for visitors, tourists and famous people from the world of arts and politics who came to the historic center of Guía.
Today, after its reform and maintaining the atmosphere of yesteryear, La Bodega continues to be a place to discover, taste and purchase artisan cheeses from the region with D.O.P. Flor de Guía cheese, as well as other local products. Here, in addition, the visitor will be able to receive tourist information about the municipality through multimedia resources. La Bodega is a recovered emblem of the city, a corner full of history and a perfect meeting place where you can find excellent traditional products such as artisan cheeses, Guía Sweets and the unique crafts of the municipality.
